白于郊の創作は、長年にわたり「東洋神話」と「生命の精神性」を主題として展開されている。伝統水墨における筆致の構成美と、岩彩画特有の重層的な視覚表現を融合させることで、古典的気質と幻想的物語性を併せ持つ独自の芸術表現を形成している。
2019年より、白于郊はオリジナル神話体系《白神録》の構築を開始した。神獣、龍、動物、自然の象徴、そして東洋的宇宙観を軸に、絵画を通して「人間・自然・神性・生命」の精神的関係性を継続的に探求している。
なかでも「龍」は、彼を代表する重要な創作テーマの一つであり、複数のシリーズ作品を通して描かれている。彼の描く龍は、単なる伝統的吉祥文様ではなく、自然の力、宇宙意識、精神的象徴性を内包した東洋的生命体として表現されており、極めて高い独自性を持つ視覚的シンボルへと発展している。
その作品は、東洋伝統絵画に宿る精神性と現代的なビジュアル・ナラティブを兼ね備え、水墨と幻想美学のあいだに独自かつ完成度の高い世界観を築き上げている。
BAI YUJIAO
His artistic practice centers on Eastern mythology and the spirituality of life, integrating the expressive brush structure of traditional ink painting with the layered visual richness of mineral pigment art. Through this fusion, he has gradually developed a distinctive artistic language that combines classical aesthetics with fantastical narrative elements.
Since 2019, BAI Yujiao has been developing an original mythological universe titled The Chronicle of Baishen (白神录). Centered around mythical creatures, dragons, animals, natural imagery, and Eastern cosmology, the series continuously explores the spiritual relationship between humanity, nature, divinity, and life through painting.
Among these themes, the dragon has become one of the artist’s most iconic subjects, appearing throughout multiple series of works. The dragons depicted by BAI are not merely traditional symbols of auspiciousness, but rather spiritual beings that embody natural forces, cosmic consciousness, and symbolic vitality, gradually evolving into a highly recognizable visual signature within his artistic world.
His works combine the inner spirit of traditional Eastern painting with contemporary visual storytelling, constructing a unique and cohesive personal mythology situated between ink art and fantasy aesthetics.
