劉晨は西安美術学院にて張小琴教授に師事し、同学院修士課程を修了。中国美術学院岩彩画研究所の研究創始員として活動し、中国岩彩画家・王雄飛教授にも師事するなど、伝統岩彩表現と現代絵画言語の双方を体系的に研鑽してきた。

彼女の作品は、女性画家ならではの繊細な感性と、卓越した色彩感覚によって特徴づけられる。極めて細密で静謐な筆致を持ちながら、その画面には単なる装飾性を超えた精神的な深度が宿っている。

​

また、幻想性と叙情性を内包しながらも、時に大胆で広がりのある構図を用い、東洋的な静けさと現代的な視覚感覚を共存させている点も彼女の大きな魅力である。

​

近年の中国岩彩画界において、劉晨は高い創作性と独自の美意識を兼ね備えた、非常に希少な若手女性アーティストの一人として注目を集めている。

LIU CHEN​

Originally from Anhui and currently based in Qingdao, Liu Chen studied under Professor Zhang Xiaoqin at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, where she completed her master’s degree. She is also a founding researcher of the Mineral Pigment Painting Research Institute at the China Academy of Art and further studied under renowned Chinese mineral pigment artist Professor Wang Xiongfei.

Liu Chen’s artistic practice centers on the fusion of traditional mineral pigment techniques with a contemporary visual language. Her works are distinguished by exceptionally delicate brushwork, refined color sensitivity, and a deeply poetic atmosphere.

As a female artist, Liu brings a unique emotional subtlety to her paintings. Beneath their quiet and meticulous surfaces lies a strong inner sensibility, where intimacy and imagination coexist with expansive compositions and spatial depth.

Her paintings often evoke a dreamlike balance between stillness and emotion, combining Eastern aesthetics with a contemporary sense of visual storytelling. Through layered pigments and nuanced tonal transitions, Liu Chen constructs contemplative worlds that feel both intimate and timeless.
